What online social media sites do you use? Poll

Here are the results of our 30th Unlock the Past poll - What online social media sites do you use? Votes were cast by 141 people. The results are summarised in the table below.

The clear favourite was Facebook with 61.0 percent of voters indicating that they use it - the next most popular sites were YouTube (19.9%), Twitter (19.9%), Flikr (18.4%), LinkedIn (17.0%) and Picasa (16.3%).  A significant percentage of voters (30.5%) use no social media sites at all and others held little interest for the members of the genealogy community who responded to this poll. Since the poll was launched a new player has come on to the scene - Google+. It will be interesting to see whether their aim to make sharing on the web more like sharing in real life draws people away from other sites.
