The Freemason's Library is an amenity provided by the Grand Lodge. It was first established in 1885 and has been significantly enlarged over the years.

The foundation of the James Robertson Memorial Library in 1928 incorporated the original Grand Lodge Library and commemorates the memory and services of a Past Assistant Grand Secretary.

Contributions and subscriptions to support this memorial were received from the Grand Lodge of South Australia, Supreme Grand Chapter, Grand Mark and almost every subordinate lodge warranted at that time in South Australia.

The library continues to remian an invaluable source of information for today's brethren.
