This Group was formed in 1984 to assist local family historians and to create a collection of resources to make family history more accessible and affordable for researchers in our district. 

Our Research Centre is now conveniently located at 129-135 Otho Street, Inverell. Our collection incudes books, maps, local newspapers on microfilm, and subscriptions to Ancestry.com and Findmypast databases.  In addition we are a licenced LDS centre for hiring and viewing their microfilms.  Appointments during school holidays are advisable. Weekend visitors can also use the centre by making prior arrangements with the Group.
