All descendants of John GRONO and Elizabeth BRISTOW are invited to attend a family reunion to commemorate the 214th anniversary of their arrival in Australia on the "HMS Buffalo" in 1799. Related family surnames are: BOOKS, HALL, HARTLEY, McKENZIE, MITCHELL, MOBBS and SMALLWOOD.
Mr. Sam Bateman will be our special guest speaker, he will be talking on the topic: "John Grono's Naval Career - some clues to why he migrated to Australia".
If you are planning to attend this reunion, we encourage you to please pre-register. See web-site for registration forms.
We also ask you to bring your own lunch, chairs, picnic rugs etc. Hot water is provided for tea and coffee in the hall.
A gold coin donation is also requested for the Ebenezer Church, who have kindly allowed us to use their grounds at a very low cost.
As part of our reunion festivities, we have also organised a talk by Carol Liston and a visit to the Hawkesbury Museum on Saturday 4th May 2013, 10:30am.
