HAGSOC education activity: IT workshop
The Heraldry & Genealogy Society of Canberra (HAGSOC) is running an education activity on Saturday 5 May 2012 at 9.30 am in the HAGSOC Education Room, Cook Community Hub, 41 Templeton Street Cook (6251 7004) on IT: Today’s the day you go online.
This 3 hour workshop will explain how to set up a family history website the cheap and easy way using Wordpress. Hear first hand experiences and then actually set up and start publishing your family story before you leave. Attendees should bring their own laptop or netbook to use in the workshop, and will also leave with their website. Presenters: Julie Hesse, Sue Beatty and Andrew Eliason.
You need to book for this course and the booking forms are in the HAGSOC Library. If you cannot get to the Library but wish to attend, telephone (02) 6251 7004 during Library hours and the volunteer on duty will put your name down. There can be restrictions on the numbers able to attend some sessions, so early bookings are advised. Fee: HAGSOC members $10; non-members $20. Please check Calendar page on HAGSOC website (http://hagsoc.org.au) in case of last minute changes or cancellations.
