Built in 1839 by pioneer and explorer John Ainsworth Horrocks, this cottage, the oldest stone building north of Gawler, is presented in as near original state as possible. While you are visiting, take the self-guided walk of the picturesque village of Penwortham, named by Horrocks after his home in Lancashire, England. Light refreshments are available and books on local history for sale. Off-street parking. Bookings required for groups only.
