Q Station Community Day - Eat History
Since 1837, Sydney's historical Quarantine Station has accomodated immigrants and travellers from all over the world. At our Community Open Day this year, we will explore food traditions brought to the Quarantine Station by those visitors and resident staff during its 150-year history. Informed by historical menus from steam ships, quarantine regulation manuals and period cook books, our chefs will create an exciting array of foods to explore. Offerings on the day will include cooking demonstrations, food stalls, afternoon tea, history tours & lectures, exhibitions and kids' activities.
