Queensland State Archives Recordkeeping Seminar Series
Are you responsible for managing records within your public authority? If so, this free seminar will help you understand the detailed recordkeeping requirements under current legislative and policy frameworks, and also provide you with training to empower positive change within your organisation.
It is a requirement under the Public Records Act 2002 (the Act) that Queensland public authorities create and maintain full and accurate public records. If you are unsure what the implications of the Act are to you or its impact on your colleagues, this Seminar Series is a must-attend event to ensure you are up to speed with your agency's recordkeeping obligations.
The training will also explore how to engage public sector employees, from chief executive levels to middle managers and junior staff, to adopt best practice recordkeeping.
As part of the Seminar Series, representatives from Queensland State Archives are visiting regional areas to provide advice on best practice recordkeeping. An optional seminar will also be available if you want to learn more about transferring permanent archival records to Queensland State Archives.
With the introduction of the Right to Information Act 2009 and the Information Privacy Act 2009, recordkeeping is becoming even more essential in the workplace. Don't miss your change to attend this seminar.
