RESEARCHING THE HISTORY OF YOUR HOUSE

27 June 2010

Has your family home been swallowed up in new development but you still have fond memories and photos? Have you ever wondered who lived in your house before you?  Would you like to know more about the style of your house?

If you’d like to find out some answers to the above questions, and lots more, then come along to this session.  The presenters take a case study approach and will take you through the resources available to help you research the history of your house.  The focus is on Queensland, but the examples may help if the house you’re researching is outside Queensland.

Bookings and payment in advance are essential to ensure we have sufficient copies of notes available, phone GSQ on (07) 3891 5085, email gsq1@optusnet.com.au or pay securely online at www.gsq.org.au.  Further details about the course available from Paul Mann on ciscoshell@hotmail.com or Pauline Williams on pstirland@hotmail.com.

Cost  includes full notes and refreshments.

Time:               10-2pm Sunday 27 June 2010

Venue:             38 Fisher Street, East Brisbane.

To bring:          Participants need to bring own lunch, notebook and pencil/pen.
