Trove is a discovery experience focused on Australia and Australians. It supplements what search engines, such as Google, provide. If you are researching in the fields of family or local history, then this is the tool for you.
For example if researching images relating to the town or state that your ancestors came from, results will include descriptions such as people, books, manuscripts, maps and newspaper articles and of course images. A researcher searching for information on a famous person will be presented with a range of results including biographies, pictures, music, newspapers, books etc.
The site also has links to other countries such as the United Kingdom.
Jill Ball is an experienced, local genealogist and author of the blog Geniaus.
Bookings required.
