Cultural historian, folk musician and raconteur Warren Fahey reveals how the Australian identity emerged through colonial fantasy, pioneering determination and hard yakka.

As we roll towards an inevitable ‘world culture’ it has become vital we acknowledge our own unique Australian identity. Performing what he calls ‘signpost songs, stories and recitations’, Warren’s informative talk on Australia’s social history is guaranteed to press your nostalgia button!

Much of Warren’s material comes from his collecting work in the early 1970s when he recorded oral histories of people born in the late 19th century.
