Octavius skinner burton was my great grandfathers brother,they lived in Beaumaris, Anglesey Wales. his father was Francis Pierpoint Burton

Yes, the Burtons were an interesting family with strong Irish antecedents as well. Burton, a Victorian policeman and contemporary of Robert O'Hara Burke, is buried in St. Kilda cemetery. Like Burke, he also served in the Austrian Army before emigrating to Australia.
